Sports

St Rose’s strives to be an active school and a huge emphasis is placed on physical education and extra curricular activity.

Activities offered during PE lessons include adapted dance, gymnastics, games, athletic and outdoor and adventurous activities. Our PE staff specialise in ‘Sherbourne Developmental Movement’ which provides movement experiences for young people with profound and complex physical needs. Where possible, pupils are encouraged to be out of their wheelchairs to fully explore their movements while developing body awareness and skills.

In addition, our children and young people have the opportunity to enjoy horse riding, boccia, tennis and swimming and are supported to achieve National level in many sports competitions.

"The curriculum contains a very broad range of activities."
