The annual classic motor show known as ‘Wheel Nuts’ is staged in the beautiful grounds of our school in late Spring.  It has become a very popular event attracting large numbers of owners with their unique and magnificent vehicles as well as a large and appreciative crowd of admirers who, together, celebrate all that is excellent in motor transport down through the ages.

The event is now firmly established in the classic car show calendar in Gloucestershire and has been able to raise substantial funding, which together with funding from 'The Variety Club of Great Britain', has assisted the school in replacing its aged minibuses with brand new vehicles. This has enabled our wonderful students to continue being heavily and successfully involved in many forms of outdoor pursuits both locally and nationally.

Our most recent event, ‘Wheel Nuts 2009’ raised almost £10,000, and the funds have made a significant contribution to the 'Smile Appeal' at the school.  The appeal was set up to improve facilities and raise the considerable sum of over £1.1 million to build a hydrotherapy pool at the school, this will provide an immensely important therapy on site for our young people. We are getting closer to reaching our goal and these are exciting times at St Roses.

We continue to strive to improve the quality of the event and secure its place as one of the most popular classic motor shows in Gloucestershire. It has been very encouraging to receive so many letters of appreciation after the show from people who have taken part and who have clearly enjoyed being  part of it.  Our 2010 ‘Wheel Nuts’ show is on Sunday 9th May. We hope you will continue to support us and, if you haven’t been part of it yet, why not contact the school for details or click on the links below?
