Education
St Rose’s aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum that offers stimulating
opportunities appropriate to the needs of our students. The curriculum is well planned and
provides a wide range of subjects and activities that comply with the statutory requirements
of the National Curriculum. Within all lessons the barriers to the students’ learning are
addressed and provision is made to allow access to the curriculum. This includes the use of information technology.
The pupils learning is assessed and challenging but realistic targets are set. Assessment for
Learning is an integral part of the learning process and the small steps of our student’s
achievement are celebrated. These achievements are shared with both students and
parents through well-structured Individual Education Plans and Annual Review Reports.
Every student is given the opportunity to succeed.
“Outstanding quality of care, guidance and support ensures that pupils make excellent progress in their personal development.”
"Classrooms are busy environments where pupils are encouraged to try hard and to overcome difficulties"
